Osceola County conducted a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the widening of Nova Road (CR 532) from US 192 to the future Sunbridge Parkway (just east of the C-32 Canal), a distance of approximately 5 miles.
This study evaluated widening the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.
The PD&E Study involved a wide range of engineering assessments, environmental analysis, and public involvement to identify alternatives that meet the project needs while minimizing impacts to the surrounding environment and community.
On June 2nd, 2025, the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved the Nova Road PD&E Study recommendations to widen from the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, replace two bridges, add 3 new signals, add stormwater management facilities, and proceed with future design, right of way, and construction phases.
