Osceola County has taken steps to preserve the County's natural beauty and to ensure there will be natural lands and water resources for future generations.

The Environmental Lands
Conservation Program, known as SAVE (Save and Value Environment), was created to acquire and manage ecologically important lands, funded by a dedicated millage approved by the voters. With your SAVE dollars, over 3,300 acres have been acquired to protect water resources, preserve wildlife habitats, provide public green spaces, and support passive, resource-based recreation.

Purpose

To plan for the future growth and initiate a long-term program to acquire and improve environmentally endangered land for the protection of water resources, wildlife habitat and public open space.

Mission Statement

To preserve the natural beauty of the county and to ensure that there will be natural lands and water resources for future generations.

Together, we can protect and preserve the natural beauty of Osceola County.
