Osceola County is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the widening of Nova Road (CR 532) from US 192 to the future Sunbridge Parkway (just east of the C-32 Canal), a distance of approximately 5 miles. On June 2nd, 2025, the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved the Nova Road PD&E Study recommendations to widen from the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, replace two bridges, add 3 new signals, add stormwater management facilities, and proceed with future design, right of way, and construction phases.
This study will evaluate widening the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.
The PD&E Study will involve a wide range of engineering assessments, environmental analysis, and public involvement to identify alternatives that meet the project needs while minimizing impacts to the surrounding environment and community.
