Osceola County is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the widening of Canoe Creek Road (CR 523) from the future Southport Connector Expressway to Deer Run Road. This study will evaluate widening the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations. The PD&E Study will involve a wide range of engineering assessments, environmental analysis, and public involvement to identify alternatives that meet the project needs while minimizing impacts to the surrounding environment and community.
