Cross Prairie Parkway is an Osceola County framework multimodal corridor that serves a large population of residents in the cities of St. Cloud and Kissimmee, and southern Osceola County. Currently there is no contiguous link between the southern and northern segments of this corridor, between Nolte Road and the C-31 Canal, causing significant travel delays and public safety concerns as residents and emergency responders must utilize alternate travel routes that lack sufficient capacity and accessibility. The Cross Prairie Parkway Extension Project, which is approximately 1.6 miles in length, will complete that critical transportation corridor. This Project includes the design and permitting of a four-lane divided roadway with bike lanes, a sidewalk, a multi-use recreational path, drainage improvements, storm water ponds, signalization of the intersection at Nolte Road, and street lighting and landscaping. This Project is not yet currently funded for construction.
