This is a federally aid funded LAP project that includes installing Adaptive Signal System on Osceola Parkway from Dyer Boulevard to Florida’s Turnpike Interchange. This project intends to install an adaptive signal system along Osceola Parkway from Dyer Blvd to Florida’s Turnpike Interchange, which is approximately 3.31 miles. The purpose of adaptive signal technology is to automatically identify traffic changes/congestion problems and auto adjust the timings along the corridor accordingly to improve traffic flow. Osceola County is committed to traveler safety and efficiency within the jurisdiction, and this ATMS project can assist in the continued achievement of this goal.
Signalized intersections along Osceola Pkwy considered for adaptive signal control are as follows:
1. Dyer Boulevard 2. N. Thacker Avenue 3. John Young Parkway 4. Greenwald Way N. 5. Centerview Boulevard 6. U.S. 441 7. Bald Cypress Drive/Old Dixie Highway 8. S. Orange Avenue 9. Michigan Avenue 10. Bill Beck Boulevard 11. Turnpike ramps
